The daily market a couple of blocks off Avenida Tulum is where the fruit stalls, spice sacks and handmade hammocks that never make it to the hotel road actually sell. Prices are unmarked and haggling is normal but polite, a smile and a slower pace get further than pushing on a number. It is small enough to see properly in under an hour, longer if a coffee stall pulls you in.
