About
Nohoch Mul rises 42 metres out of the jungle canopy and is still one of the few Mayan pyramids in Mexico visitors can climb, a rope strung down the centre for the descent. The site is spread over several kilometres of jungle trail, so most guides rent bicycles or a bici-taxi at the entrance rather than walk it. Go early, the climb closes if it rains and the platform at the top gets crowded fast once the tour buses land mid morning.
