About

Three small openings in the jungle floor give this cenote its nickname, the Skull, and one of them is a genuine jump platform a few metres above the water for anyone who wants it. It sits close enough to town to reach by bike in fifteen minutes, which keeps it quieter than the cenotes further down the Cobá highway. The cave section past the main pool rewards a mask and a slow, careful swim.
